This place looks scary from the outside... it's a concrete building and you have to walk through a metal security gate to get in. It definitely harkens back to more dangerous days in this hood. Known for hosting lots of metal and punk bands the place is a quintessential dive in the nicest sense. I found this write-up online and feel the need to repost it, cuz it's so cute:
"Okay...so maybe I shouldn't write a review for the bar I work at... but I feel like the Paragon has changed a lot and folks need to know what's up! We have lots of punk/rock/metal bands play, HAVOC on tuesdays is our Queer Night, Karaoke Wed-Sat with Miss Bettie Mayhem! Come check out the new system... she has lots of songs, and can get anything you request. Always lookin' for more bands, and DJs.
