A few years back I started hearing about these really crazy parties happening at this after-hours place on MLK. Crazy stuff like you could buy a bottle of wine for $4 and lines of coke on the tables. Just mad-crazy shit going down. When I would ask where is this place I would get a half-assed explanation but I could never find it. I finally ended up there one night to see one of my SF friend's metal band play. It still took me a good while to find it... there is no sign and it's literally a whole in the wall. But it was a kick-ass show and even though there were only 30 people there the place was packed and going crazy.
Nowadays they still have no sign, but it's definitely more well-known. You can get some damn tasty drinks at the bar and most nights it's standing room only, very, very dark, and usually pretty sweaty. Overall a really fucking good time.
